Our week in Florence has been wonderful! We've done everything from
visit Heceta Head Lighthouse, the sand dunes, Old Town, and horse back
riding. The weather and the surroundings have been beautiful!
The trees, sand dunes, and lots of room - a lot different than San Diego.
The
house was cute and comfortable! We felt right at home here.
Everything, the beds, the lamps, the lights and kitchen appliances all
worked great. Thank you so much, this vacation is just what we
needed! We will be back...promise!
The DeBroeck's & The Soden's (Buffalo, MN)
Thank you for allowing us to rent your house for the week. We
really enjoyed it the whole time. From grilling out to drinking and
playing cards, it was a great and unforgettable experience. So once
again, thank you. I recommend renting ATV's and going horseback
riding.
The Merrill Family
This is our fourth time renting this house and it has begun to feel truly
like our "home away from home". It is always so clean and cozy!
We are in love with Florence and plan to retire here some day!! Our
favorites haunts are going to Clewox Lake at Honeyman, Ocean Beach to the
north, and this year the boys and Mackenzie fell in love with sand
boarding! We also go crabbing a lot. Next year we plan a trip
across the US to see many National Parks and Washington, DC, but we
definitely will return in 2006!

Thank you very much for the use of your house! We had a wonderful
time. We walked on the beach and found shells - rode bikes in the
dunes... The weather was beautiful, blue skies and warm.

We stayed for 1 month after our house sold and our new house was finished
in Florence. Everything was fine! We enjoyed your home very

We had a great time - even if we did lock ourselves out one day.
The staff was very accommodating in getting a spare key to us. We
enjoyed our time here and will strongly think about a return in the

The Thorson Family - Our First Family Vacation
I can't explain how much we enjoyed your home and the beautiful
landscape. We first arrived here on Sunday, unpacked and went down
to the ocean - amazed about how close we were from here. Played in
the cold water for awhile and scavenged sea shells. On Monday, me and my
parents got up early and went down to the ocean before the two teenagers
got up. The ocean was covered with sea gulls enjoying a feast of
crabs and clams. One of the sea gulls dropped a crab that was still
alive so my mom proceeded to fight the sea gull from his huge Dungeness
crab and needless to say my mom won. We returned to the house with
our prize crab and had it for dinner with our steaks....WE have enjoyed
every minute of our trip. Filled with laughter & memories we can
talk about forever. Our first family vacation may have come to an
end, but the Oregon Coast will draw us back forever.

What a cozy
place! We loved our visit to Florence and to your "Hideaway" and
will be back again and again. The setting is beautiful, we can hear the
surf from the house, and of course Florence is a jewel. Just the
right decorative touches and amenities to make you feel right at home the
minute you walk in. Lots of places to explore nearby. I almost hate to
post this excellent review for fear that it will become difficult for me
to reserve the wonderful "Hideaway" in the future!

My husband
and I had a wonderful time at the your home for two weeks. It is so
cozy and inviting and we just adore Florence and the beach! The
accommodations were perfect, we were totally at ease from the moment we
stepped into the place, and to see the sunset from the west coast on the
hills near the Sea Lion Caves was awesome and breathtaking. We hope to
return in the future. This spot is a 10, or better said a 100 on the
scale for us. Thank You!

fell in love with Oregon some years ago and try to get out there at least
once a year. Added to that is my attraction to the sea and creatures of
all kinds (whales!!!). So your cozy little cottage, it's seclusion and
location, were Paradise indeed...Rest assured I will be back someday and
until then, I wish you the best of success with your property and hope
you own it for a long time so I will always have such a beautiful place
to return to...

Being its our first time to visit Oregon, I have to say how awe-inspiring the coast line is with it's fabulous views. It has made me think of the first settlers here. They must have rejoiced when they saw it.
I have been to many beautiful beaches, but this has to be the most wonderful one EVER! The view, the rocks, the fun driftwood and shell "finds" were the best. We came here to be together "away from it all" and
your home is perfect for that. Mike and I thought Florence was very romantic. We are still honeymooners, though, and think everyplace we are together is romantic.
We shared a lot of laughs playing games, dancing to music, cooking steaks on the grill and flying kites...hoping
future visitors can have a similar experience. |
